I actually really enjoyed the Death Note movies, especially the first one. I thought they really tightened up the story and keeping the story focused on Kira vs. L instead of the characters who came later on makes for a better movie in my opinion.

I miss tech products in general having personality. Just about everything tech related these days has that cold, dead, Robocop reboot look.
I think NV had better game mechanics, and I did enjoy the expansion of the morality/faction system. In terms of writing, however, 3 has it beat.
Iribe needs to watch this.
You're alright, Adkins. You're alright.
Okay, massive points to the Gridman cosplayer.
People making a living on the internet by finding an audience willing to watch their content on a regular basis. <.<
Yeah, I actually really love his take on a lot of DCs characters. They just look the way (at least in my mind) how the characters should: Timeless and without reverence for any of today's fads.
Wow. That is just about perfect.
I think the thing most people hated is the jacket. The minute you put a leather jacket over a superhero costume it just stops working. As for myself, I've always preferred the armored up version of the original.
I didn't say it was unimpressive, I just found the stop motion in this particular scenario to be more impressive given the fact that he's using rigid toys that weren't designed for stop motion animation rather than a computer model that can be manipulated further if need be. Also, like you suggested, I just happen to…
Actually, I honestly would rather watch this over what Michael Bay's made. I thought that this was much more fun to watch, it didn't overstay its welcome, and knowing that the creator had to pose the toys frame by frame to make it happen made it all the more impressive.
The character animation in this is surprisingly good.
I disagree. Oh, well. Nobody said people have to agree on taste in movies.
At the end of the day the big reason why a lot of people miss well designed game manuals, aside from the convenience of being able to flip through and find an answer without pausing the game and cycling through a menu, is the actual experience of using one.
What I want from the sequel, almost more than anything, is for Newt and Herrman to pilot the Jaeger/Kaiju hybrid Del Toro was talking about last year.
Because movies, especially ones like Pacific Rim, take a lot of time to make happen.
It's building up a cult following. I maintain my belief that if you cut away the bubblegum pop visuals you're still left with a pretty good story about corporate espionage and family drama.
If this is true then I am incredibly happy. Pacific Rim was the most fun I had at the movies last year.
Though I do agree with you, if you look at a list of the number of live action films they have coming out this year you will find almost nothing from an original script.
