That's true for the majority of modern Japanese films, but definitely not true for anything from the Akira Kurosawa/Yasujiro Ozu period.

I ask this as someone who hasn't ever really watched the show (which, I'll be the first to admit, is sad): What exactly is supposed to be bad about this? I'm asking that not only of people who are saying it looks bad but of the people who are saying it looks bad in a good way.

Yeah, the jump in difficulty on that one's a bit extreme for my taste, too.

Yeah, I play Fight Night fairly regularly, I just don't really consider it the same sort of fighting game. I think my biggest problem with Mortal Kombat stems from a lack of fluid, weight based movement. Keep in mind I'm saying all of this as someone who loves Mortal Kombat and can't wait for the new game.

When I brought up Arkham I didn't mean to imply that I wanted them to take that particular mechanic. Fighting games in general feel relatively rigid to me. I would like to see a more intuitive counter system be used, however. I don't really have the solution, I only know what keeps me from enjoying them as a whole.

What I want, more than anything, is a new and intuitive fighting system. I think that fighting games as a whole tend to stick to the same game mechanics and formula to the point that I'm more in love with the idea of fighting games and watching people play them than I am of actually playing them myself. I would love

Not for me, it wouldn't. For me the charm was strictly with the characters and storyline. A fresh coat of paint doesn't ruin it for me.

I think he's talking about a complete remake.

I'll be honest, I'm still waiting for someone to make a great beat 'em up for today. The Arkham games and Sleeping Dogs almost count for me, but for some reason I just can't justify calling them beat em ups.

Thanks, man.

Yup, the '00s were relatively awful. I mean, I lost a parent in the 90s and still think that was a better decade.

King Kong isn't what I would call a bad movie. It's more like an all you can eat buffet full of good food that you are forced at gunpoint to keep going back to for additional plates. If the movie had been two subplots and an hour shorter it would have been better received.

They should've stuck with animatronics.

No real source other than rumors and things I've read about how big budget films work in general these days. As for why I feel that this is more Bay's show than Liebesman's is relatively simple: Bay's been the one talking about it the most. I can think of only one or two interviews of Liebesman talking about it.

But it is. Bay's the producer and has final say over what makes it in, and what gets thrown out. When you're the director of a big budget flick like this, unless your last name is Spielberg, Scorsese, Nolan, Abrams, or Bay, you are not actually doing any directing. You're just there to call action and make sure the

I suspect the jetpack won't be available in the game until the story DLC that Rockstar comes out with, if they put it in at all.

This makes me happy. I'd love to see more games like Catherine.

While I think this art had a lot of talent put into it I've gotta be honest...I'm really sick of seeing the same kind of dystopian stuff in sci-fi.
