"This, along with maybe the firsts seasons of Friday Night Lights, Dexter, and Arrested Development, are great seasons of television that would work well if they were the only seasons the show ever got to do."

SPOILERS

I just did a re-watch in January - which was accompanied by me obsessively reading the round-table reviews on marsinvestigations.net - so it'll be interesting to see how the AV Club's opinions differ.

They could wear Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze masks.

Wait, which Wesley Snipes are you guys taking about?

This makes me feel old, and then happy that I'm not a teenager anymore.

I've actually never seen
Love, Actually.

And on stone tablets were writ the first ten commandments.
As were the next ten, on an iPad.

"His next film, If I Ever See You Again, was a semi-autobiographical story of a former ad jingle writer trying to break into the movie business; along with once again writing, directing, and producing it, Brooks also insisted on starring in it, despite his lack of acting experience and his severe stutter."

They could probably sell it to a GB fan
make enough money to build ten new boys.

Trier was clearly joking, but I also hate him, so this made me laugh far more than his "wit" ever could.

The Ten also now seems quite prescient.
Oh wait, that was Arsenio Hall.

And the laugh track doesn't help.

I'm not expecting any kind of astounding understatement, just… think about any "emotional" moment in a show like Party Down, or Parks & Rec, or a really good episode of The Office or Green Wing or something, all ostensibly comedies…

Has it just been the past few seasons
or has HIMYM never known how to go subtle with its emotional moments?

I like Michael Winterbottom
so I'll be seeing this regardless of the casting.

As someone who only recently ascended into "adulthood," I've started to learn that everybody's pretty much shit.

I'm going with: the kids are actually adopted.

What was
Daniel Handler doing in there?

And get some pie at the Double R!
