Well, I mean... the common assumption is that this is gameplay of BG&E 2. I choose to believe this is what the game would have been like (if only because it’s easier than assuming it’s dead).
Looks like a mix between Jonathan Banks and a bald James Cromwell to me. *shrug* Old bald white dudes are a dime a dozen, ya know?
I happen to think the doctor’s features are more similar to Jonathan Banks’ than Mr. Canavero.
Bald, white, glasses.... Yup totally sue-able.... America ladies and gentlemen.
Beyond Good and Evil was one of my favourite games I’ve ever played. And I’m certain a sequal could improve a lot of the first games mix of open world/sneaking and platform gameplay. But alas it was never meant to be.
Yeah, they cut off the supply to create demand, it’s an interesting tactic, and it works. I mean, I remember when the Wii launched it was impossible to get and everyone wanted one because the fact it was sold out meant it must be THE BEST THING EVER
Everyone lauds the enemy AI in F.E.A.R., and while I think it’s technically impressive, it’s also just super annoying. They will run from your grenades WITHOUT FAIL every single time. You’d think if you’re in full stealth mode, and you just throw a grenade over a wall, and guards literally have no line of sight to you…
I agree. In fact, I wish the entire game were in third person view. The third person stealth was great and looked very polished.
Smart AI is chess master on maximum difficulty. It’s cruel to the average human, and arguably not fun either.
Right? It makes the complaint that the game is pushing you towards stealth at every opportunity particularly ironic since the boss fights are almost impossible with a pacifist/stealth approach.
To be fair, the director’s cut addressed this pretty nicely.
The 3rd person switches always felt like an elegant solution to a fundamental problem with most gaming platforms. There is something fundamentally uncomfortable about being limited to first person perspective without actually having real world peripheral vision (along with other sensory input)... particularly in a…
Come on, man, all this and not a mention of the notorious factoid the boss fights were farmed out to another dev?
== people who buy a Dyson vacuum because it’s on sale for a “limited time”. Those things are perpetually on sale on a variety of websites; they’re not unlike those furniture stores that frequently have going out of business sales and then miraculously sell enough to stay afloat.
“That me secret, me always hungry.”
Well I’d go as far to say they play nothing like GTA, considering Rico is the God of War and explosions.
All of which completely miss the point of the character design in the first place. What so wrong with the original design? If you're going to 'real world' it up, there's plenty of ways that don't cast off its core elements.
