I appreciate Doviak pointing out that the real-world political scenario may be just as ludicrous and we shouldn't hang on to unrealistic details on HoC. However, I must note that some parallels to political reality and the drama of it all was what attracted me to the show in the first place. The lack of it has become

Her hair game has gone up this season too! I've thoroughly been enjoying her pixie cut transforming into a stylish bob.

Ha! Hopefully Tom slithers into obscurity and we shall all be free from his fake deep dialogues again.

Also, I'm hoping that Tom dies soon. He doesn't even contribute anything to the plot, but then again, nothing contributes to the plot.

House of Pointless Subplots™

To be honest, this season has felt too disconnected from reality for me to enjoy. I remember when I only used to watch this show after I made sure I had nothing else to do so I could give it my full attention… now it just plays in the background while I fold laundry :/

I agree. I really dislike how Spacey's asides this season are something far from subtle, but I have been enjoying them a little because his monologues are truly masterful.

I've only been hate-watching this season, though I have been enjoying more Claire time.

I agree. I'm almost tempted to fast forward through his scenes because I already know he's going to say something dumb and fake deep, goodness.

Yeah, I was thinking that they had something to do with the "war" committee that was investigating them

I thought that Remy Danton and Jackie Sharp moved on after giving their comments on the Hammerschmidt article? Are they now back to expose FU once and for all?

I can relate. I feel that I mainly watch it for Spacey's and Wright's acting now more than I watch it for the plot.

I find that season 3 circles around many subpolots and lacks in the real meat of the arc, but it gets a little better with season 4, especially after episode 4. I've just finished the first episode of the latest season and having higher hopes for the story now, though. Hopefully they move on from the election quickly.

Oh man, I swear I get so anxious whenever Joanna's on screen because I can just feel that she might know what I'm thinking. She's scarily good.

The subway also had someone listening to music wearing headphones— I thought of it as an imagery to "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

I definitely think it's possible that Elliot's admission is voluntary, but somehow I have a feeling that Tyrell also maybe got Elliot to where he is right now (or at least helped in doing so) so that Elliot would be secluded and keep quiet.

The opening credits with old school horror movie soundtrack-like score was bone chilling. The dream sequence made me hope for a better life for Elliot, too, but I know that won't be the case with the characters, unfortunately. However, the appearance of QWERTY in Elliot's dream sequence was joyous!

Just making conversation, but I think even though this episode isn't significant in the grand scheme of things this season, I think we do see some development in Bojack, specifically, his attempts to apologize to Kelsy. He also realized that the fact that he completely broke connection with her after her firing was

I love your point about the muted sounds! While I definitely heard the sounds, the idea of us hearing what Bojack is also hearing did not occur to me. I was too engrossed in the score itself and the background sounds were almost ignored, but I will definitely keep an ear out if I happen to do a rewatch! :)

I love the scene preceding the anemones, where it's completely dark and numerous sets of eyes appear, only turns out to be a scallop casually drinking soda.
