50 Shades of Grey: 2 Ass 2 Ass

That's my kind of movie

But girls wanting more sex is a good thing?

The AV Club

I would have watched this movie if they went totally apeshit, made it NC-17 and included some kinky, disgusting, rough BDSM sex. As it is, it's probably going to be a soft-R, with some bland sex scenes and faux.BDSM: "OMG BLINDFOLDS! A RIDING CROP! HOW EDGY!"

The best use of bullet train in action scenes recently was the traintop fight sequence in The Wolverine. It was actually the only memorable thing about that movie

I was actually agreeing with your sentiments there until you dropped "gay-ass". I'm not against offensive slurs now and then but if you're going to make a valid argument and want your points to hold water, it's probably best not to stoop to childish epithets

Caitlin PenzeyMoog? Is that even a real name? Was Imogen Poots too mainstream?

Some people just can't let go of the anger and resentment they harbor, for whatever reason

Ok…? I still don't get your point. i thought we were talking about misogyny and sexism? Where do metrics of coolness come into it? I'm willing to concede to your accusation if you actually come up with a valid argument but all I see is a lot of empty snark.

I think Koontz gets labeled as a hack too often and gets more hate than he deserves. None of his books are high art or great literature, but damn, the man knows how to tell a suspenseful story.

Spider-Pig, Spider-Pig, does whatever, a Spider-Pig does

Yeah Watchers legitimately had a blockbuster movie hidden in there somewhere. It's one of my favourites of his. I haven't been a huge fan of his recent stuff though. They all seem really lazy and by the numbers. Even the Odd Thomas books, which I loved, have become dull and tedious

Can you explain to me how that's casual misogyny and sexist? Are you saying that the jock types did not have sex with the pretty girls in high school? Or has accusations of misogyny and sexism become the new boilerplate accusation for anything on the internet?

I agree completely. The movie veered off into more generic territory in the second half, but it started really strongly. I have generally enjoyed all of Aja's work to a degree, he's very good at what he does

Nah, I've never seen the movie. In general, Dean Koontz TV/movie adaptations never seem to have gotten even 5% of the care and attention that Stephen King's works have.

I really liked Intensity :(

I'm about 300 pages into the book and really liking it so far, even though it has some of King's obnoxious writerly tics.

That's what happens when you don't get laid, eat tasty food and get a buzz on every now and then.

For once, I would like to see Hatesong cover something that's actually critically respected. All the songs they pick are obvious choices. Let's see AVC grow some balls and go with a Radiohead or Velvet Underground song. THAT would be good reading.
