Ideally, pharmacists are supposed to be an integral part of a care team for each patient. They aren’t just meant to receive prescriptions by fax or phone and fill them, but should be a trusted colleague with a GP, and potentially other types of providers such as NP/PA, OB/gyn, PT, any specialist you’re seeing, etc.
