Every Avenger handled the fallout of Infinity War differently. And Thor’s was to sink into depression, maybe because he lost more than the rest of the Avengers did overall. I’m a big guy, but I didn’t feel shamed by his portrayal. Jeez.

It’s Gundam Wing. No contest - the show that exploded and turbocharged the anime revolution imo. Combine it with one of the best promos ever. Damn, Toonami was awesome. It’s certainly not the best or most well-done show and pales to other Gundam shows - but it is the most emblematic of what Toonami is, was, and means.

Where is Bricken’s review of last night’s episode? I have never watched more than like the first two episodes of this show, but have kept an eye on the discourse around it + I enjoy reading Bricken’s stuff.

Danny is great when used well. I was so bummed I wouldn’t get to see he and Ward having globetrotting adventures in s3. (Ward was the best character in Iron Fist tho, apologies to Colleen, who was also awesome)

He successfully talked back to Vader, something only like 2 characters got away with in the entire OT. He outsmarted Han Solo easily. He calmly and quickly accomplished his goal of tracking and capturing Solo and delivering him to Jabba.

The local Golden Corral closed during the pandemic. The closest thing we have is now Pizza Ranch. To be fair, I hadn’t eaten at that Golden Corral for years before it closed, but it was always nice to have the option........

It really was so much better than it should have been. And his go-for-broke, unhinged performance was a big part of that.
