What are you talking about? There is no movie called Alien 3. The third movie in the franchise was Alien Ressurection.

Next you’re gonna tell me that this mythical movie you’re talking about killed Hicks and Newt immediately and used Bishop as a cameo. But of course that didn’t happen, because that would have been

I think the only thing I liked about the second AVP was the badass veteran Predator: Wolf. He was cool, his weapons were cool.

David Fincher did an Alien movie? I think I would have remembered that.

Bummed about Blotkamp’s sequel - would have been nice to get a follow up to Aliens for more Ripley adventures, and to see what happened to Hicks and Newt. Tho’ everyone’s too old for it to make sense and I don’t think recasting is the best idea.

The background stuff is that the main Preds in this film are an outcast asshole clan regular ones hate.

Maeve found herself single at the end of season 2, comforted by her sneaky neighbor who deleted a very telling and potentially life-changing voice message, which will most definitely lead to some hurt feelings and confusion.”

Yeah, this part of the season finale killed me. Ugh.

Even the Moff Gideon thing at the end of s1 served two purposes and not just a fan moment- allowing for a big fan moment with the darksaber, but everyone could be like: oh shit Gideon lived! Some people were like “The darksaber?!” The rest could be like “woah! A new lightsaber?!”

There’s three moments from s2 I would put on that list: Boba Fett in the very end of episode 1. Boba Fett when he puts his armor back on. And Luke. I didn’t feel like they forced it with Ahsoka or Bo-Katan, but that’s jsut my opinion I know.

Arcee, Airazor and Nightbird.

My parents, who did NOT see the Clone Wars show, did not get lost. They felt enough was explained about who people like Ashoka and Bo-Katan were within the episode for things to make sense.

Problem with Rogue One is they had this awesome idea: What did the theft of the death star plans look like? And then had to back fill 2/3 of a movie to get there.

And it was just fine. The last 1/3 rocks. But the buildup is at best ok. Krennic is awesome though. Such a perfect character and played to perfection.

You and I butt heads over SW a fair amount (all in good fun of course), but I wholeheartedly agree with you about the Leia scene. It was good.

I should add that there is this whole subtext with Luke that shows he’s playing the game on an entirely different level from the rest of the people in the show. Even big bad Gideon practically wets himself that Luke is now involved.

I think it didn’ derail stuff because he comes in - gets Grogu- and bails. He doesn’t resolve the stalemate between Bo and Mando. He doesn’t haul Gideon in. That’s all stuff for season 3 that will occur without Luke’s involvement.

Luke was the glaringly obvious choice to take Grogu and train him. It makes absolute and total sense.

Nobody thought they’d actually do it though. But it’s not shoehorned fan service.

So, more inspirational Optimus Prime than GIVE ME YOUR FACE Prime?

It sorta feels like they have.

That whole storyline, and the fact that it spun out of a petty magazine article that missed the point entirely, will never not make me laugh.

That, and the fake Lorde song they did was actually pretty good.

Shrug, his name never bothered me at all.

It’s no Savage Oppress, that’s for sure.

He’s a walking homage to Eastwood’s Man with No Name.

And it rocks. Give me that Western feel alongside the space opera. Star Wars contains multitudes.

You’re totally wrong there, but that’s ok.
