The point of Oberyn is a deconstruction of the revenge seeker trope. Oberyn got too wound up in his revenge to jsut end it while he could. Toofocused on the admission before actually killing the Mountain. He’d won, but was blinded by hate.

And it worked like gangbusters. Oberyn was great even in the books.

As soon as the Mountain knocks him down (if not slightly before), I skip to the next episode.

My favorite Jonah insult: “The Cloud Botherer.”

One of Peter MacNicol’s alternate takes: “You upright Narwhal!”

And is very likely NOT the same character they are calling the Night King here. - What with the wall and Others existing before the dude (who may also have a been a Stark)went crazy and became the Night King.

OR

It’s a another legend that has a germ of truth to it. Conflating the earlier origin of the Night King from

Deep A.V. Club cut right here.

He’s just fantastic.

New set.

I hate how old many of them are. No one outruns father time. EVERYONE slows down. Things take longer, get more difficult. Different rates of course, but it happens.

I like Bernie. I like Warren. But I think the time has passed.

There’s already way too many people running for President. Stop it Dems. This is how we got Trump when the GOP did the same thing.

Would you like another Trump headline? Because there’s ALWAYS another Trump headline.

America: Climate change? Nah, give me a car that is bigger than I need and requires far more gas! Wooooo!

Does the ammesia start after the orgasm? Like, does she remember everything up to that and then misses a hour or so after? Or does it erase what just happened?

I think it helped that, despite my overwhelming love of Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder, I hadn’t seen the original Producers first.

Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were also very good. It’s also important to me because my dad really liked it, and it’s rare for him to really like movies, much less movies I also enjoy. I

Could be a prequel.

I’d hate that, but it could be.

To everyone saying $$$. Yes, I get that, I’m not stupid. I understand why studios do remakes and reboots. I’m asking the question more existentially beyond the pure captialism angle.

Sometime reboots can work. Remakes too, though rarely - See: The Producers - movie turned musical turned movie of the musical - and Mel

Stop contesting my narrative with your petty facts!

I agree though. He totally was a punching bag for his acting, prior to the meme, learning of his sister’s(?) death, and the sharing of all the stories. Plus John Wick - but I think that did more for evaluations of his acting than his personal rep.

I swear I had heard

That saying was true for a looooooooong time.

But Ben’s makes sense the most because it’s so inextricably tied to his origin. Same with Batman’s parents. Sure you can get alternate reality versions - like Flashpoint’s Thomas Wayne, but they need to be dead for the hero to be the hero.

I’m not all that up on

I fully expect that Iron Man will die undoing the snap and that the timeline will revert to a point pre-snap. (Quantum time travel shenanigans!)

They were stuck between a rock and a hard place I think with her.

Not in a deferred-prosecution agreement.

Look to see if these charges were dismissed with or without prejudice. If it was without prejudice then it was likely part of a DPA.
