1. Are either of those related? Nope. Building a subway ≠ documenting the process. All I'm saying is HDR is overrated and not needed, if they had a photographer who knew what he was doing and took more time. Shouldn't be too hard if they tried.
With the amount of light that they need to be able to work down there combined with a photographer using proper lenses and bodies, yea I'd say he could've gotten these without resorting to HDR
