360 games are equivalent to medium in 2005+ pc gaming terms, and low in PC 2009+ systems. Plug your 360 to a 24" monitor and look at them side by side, and you'll see the difference. Also the PS3 and 360 games both use upscaling, and are not 720p native for sure.

Keep in mind that the 360 launched for $400 in 2005, and the PS3 launched for $500 in Fall of 2006.
