Your first point is true, but the point I was trying to make is that they can make the burst rate higher, but choose not too, and its not due to resolution. I would much rather have 3, 5, 7, and 9fps burst modes, not just capped at 5fps.

A super high res sensor would not limit the burst rate, but only the burstable capacity. FPS should be unaffected.

360 games are equivalent to medium in 2005+ pc gaming terms, and low in PC 2009+ systems. Plug your 360 to a 24" monitor and look at them side by side, and you'll see the difference. Also the PS3 and 360 games both use upscaling, and are not 720p native for sure.
