Gears of War popularized the waist high wall due to the heavy use of the cover mechanic. As shooter games progressed this became a more common trope often distinguishing "story" areas from "combat" areas. Mass effect 2 and 3 are good examples. A cover system had been implemented into what was mostly an adventure game.

People understand that tool-assisted just means that he's proving it's possible to get the coin in game right? That he's not actually cheating and that these kinds of runs are necessary to help understand what can actually be performed in game?

Man I love Ren and Stimpy.

What I think is interesting is that at this point, whether DOTA or games in general are a sport is kinda irrelevant. The fact is, The International is a gigantic tournament with the largest competitive gaming prize pot in history with millions of people watching it, many of whom had never heard of the game before this.

So the mixup between Brienne and the Hound made a lot of sense to me. To her, the Hound is know for being a savage, a killer, and someone that Arya would be unsafe around. And she's not wrong, really. The Hound has been trying to sell Arya for ransom since the moment he found her. Sure his intentions may have become

This one in particular has Dreaded Continuity and is Part I in a series. It's not particularly funny on it's own, but has Anne who is a PA regular character on the left that we don't see too often.

Ummmm... shadow magic?

Not sure if trolling... Sheik was in ocarina of time as a mysterious figure who would pop up several times in the adult section to teach Link songs and help him move forward. Though never stated, the player usually assumes Sheik is a dude because of Sheik's clothing and ninja skills. Later it's revealed that it was

So, one option I would really love to see would be a new or alternative end bosses. I love pretty much everything about the game, and I like the new stuff they've announced, but the driest part of the game can be battling the same end boss over and over again, especially once you have a handle on how to beat him

Yeah, I almost always go for boarding party focused builds if I manage to grab a Mantis or Rock. With just the right weaponry (ion is perfect, but conventional weapons can work as well) you can disable a few core systems and then go to town on their crew.

I don't mean to be THAT guy, but I'm pretty pumped about hard mode. I've gotten to the point now where I can consistently win on normal mode (Probably 3/4ths of the time I play it if I had to guess) and I'm glad they're adding an even more interesting challenge.

I'm just going to come out and say it. This will be a bad movie. The writer of the script is bad. These kinds of franchise movies are usually bad. And magic's lore is just too weird and open ended for them to pull off a coherent story line. I love Magic. But this movie will be bad.

We need to have a WORST BUTTONS list. Gamecube Z button would definitely be up there. Along with SNES generation and older "Select" button.

If you're in to dark and twisted sciencey stuff, The Manhattan Projects is a great series. Really cool artwork and a storyline that is just the right kind of twisted.

No love for Mass Effect 3? Say what you want about the ending, but the entire rest of the game was the most polished, the most interesting, and the most dramatic entry of the series. ME3 remains as my favorite by far.

I'm living in Pittsburgh right now and I'm surprised it wasn't really mentioned much in the video. Here's some fun Pittsburghese:
Calling a group of more than two people: Yinz (instead of y'all or you guys)
A small body of running water: crik (pronunciation of creek)
What you do to something when it's dirty: warsh

One of my favorite nickname moments with a character. One of my main assault characters just got badly wounded and would be out for a number of days when the mission came up to assault the alien base. I decided to go ahead with the mission taking a low level rookie that I didn't like very much. Got into the level,

Now playing

The best gaming song moment I've ever had was Bastion. Hands down. The music in that game mixed with the story that it tells will forever haunt me. End of discussion.

I've had three gaming names that I've used for awhile...

Campus life in America is really fucked. Even at my small liberal arts college in Ohio, my good friend was raped and the school did pretty much nothing. The rapist was allowed to finish out the year (he was a senior) and was not allowed to walk at graduation. That's it.
