I think modern cars are too fast and powerful for 99% of what most people do.

It’d be great if you could reel in the headlines just a bit. I don’t want to see this site on the banned list from our IT guy.
Seconded.
Cuss all you want in the body of the article, but for the love of God can you stop dropping F bombs in the title of articles, particularly for something that everyone wants to read like The Morning Shift? You are going to get banned by our IT people, and then I’m going to have to work,
Certain Jalopnik commenters: “Cars are so boring nowadays! I want fun cars!”
I was just thinking the same - this is a car website - this is a super fast car - wtf??? So it doesn’t corner - it’s not supposed to!!!
This is one of the most exciting thing to happen to American cars in YEARS, and people just complain cause it isnt a 1.5 liter hatchback that gets 50mpg. On an enthusiast website. Its maddening.
So FCA needs to stop making cheap hot rods because one car using an entirely different propulsion system and cost twice as much can beat it in a single acceleration test? Which the car can only do few times before it dies?
Although I will never buy one, I’m a Audi/VW guy, but I’m still interested, however they do need to speed it up. 2 months of teasers is about my limit.
You are sorely mistaken. Thinking about this thing could probably give me a priapism.
There’s not much other auto news to cover, and Dodge is ever willing to put out glossy promotional materials trying to get people worked up about the fact that they’re doing in the factory things that shadetree drag racers have been doing for decades.
In for “NO ONE CARES ABOUT THIS CAR BUT I HAVE TO BE THE FIRST PERSON IN EVERY DEMON STORY TELLING YOU NOBODY CARES ABOUT IT. PS MERCEDES BOAT!”.
You are so fucking salty about this car. Holy shit.
Maybe the P100D which would cost almost double this car, and only in the 0-60 metric. 0-100 or 1/4 mile, no way.
The Jalopnik world has taken a turn for the worse...here we have Mopar make all be it pointless and batshit crazy cars simply because they can and saying fuck it to the financial aspect of the situation, this would be a young boys dream. They are literally just dumping money into fantasy fan boy projects and creating…
I’ll never buy this car, but I appreciate seeing a car manufacturer coming out with something like that in 2017. And I’m not even American!
Who ordered the hot take?
Honestly, I’m sick of everyone comparing every single car ever made to the TT. This car looks nothing like the TT and has nothing in common with it design-wise (TT is a front-engined, FWD 4-seater, this is a mid-engined, RWD 2-seater). We get it, Audis are brilliant, can we move on?
I’m so happy a manufacturer finally made a throwback car that ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE THE CAR ITS TRYING TO LOOK LIKE.
