As someone who has purchased a 2014 Fiesta (ST), 2018 Forte and will buy an 2019/2020 Impreza soon, I can confirm that small car owners do like to stay with what they know.

In terms of product and marketing they are going away from what attracted me to them in the first place. I hope it works for them (it seems to have worked for Subaru) but they’re not what I’m looking for in a car right now. Some of their older products hold a spot in my heart, but their current products no longer move
