David imposed his will on Sydney because he had a desire and wanted it now like a child. The return of the angriest boy was a clue to his mental state. And Sydney questioning whether he could even tell right from wrong due to his background. Plus, she was first introduced as his ideal manic pixie dream girl.

Maybe Destiny is still alive in this universe.

The Buffy episode that is more relevant to mention is Seeing Red, where Spike almost rapes Buffy when she’s weakened. An action that sends him off on a quest for his soul.

Psychic, making David something more like a succubus.

Can we call it rape? He wasn’t even in the room. It was astral projection, spelled out in the script. She never said no. His greater crime is the “drugging,” in using his powers to make her forget her current, less happy feelings. And that is something Buffy did have a whole episode about.

And manic, and happy, and bitter, and with all the rationalizing ever seen!

Reviews are mixed, I’d say. I’ve seen As, Ds, everything in between. Horror reviews in mainstream media are nearly always useless, because the reviewer feels comfortable slamming “trash,” until it’s popular, and then they have to examine why. This one isn’t getting universal praise, just enough praise to make it a

Now that it’s made money, the positive reviews will come. The major mistake I could see? They only let Rihanna dress up once. The audience gasped when 9-Ball got her turn in the Met.

I loved the number with the take-off on Sia; the groans of the audience were ones of recognition, as the schedule really is grueling and repetitive. Josh and Sara were such great co-hosts, the antidote to last year’s Kevin Spacey ego-wallow.

I kept wondering if Jessica Chastain could sing, until I looked it up: Lauren studied opera.

The whole tone of Mila’s performance, and the attitude of everyone in the story towards her, was wildly divergent and frustrating. She was still scrubbing toilets in the final scene!? But I forgive Redmayne this role; he clearly thought he was in a camp classic, and there’s no reason to correct him.

The psychic copy wouldn’t work for Rajan, since as a sapien he couldn’t perceive it. He gets her body, while Wolfgang has her mind.

The problem with Jupiter was tone. It needed to pick one. Cloud Atlas was indeed great. Hugh Grant deserved an Oscar nod. Speed Racer was ridiculously pretty.

She got her happy ending, like everyone else. Her corrupt brother was exposed, and hot cop showed up (at her implied request) for one last team up!

Sorry, got confused about episode titles, referring to “Our Time Is Up.”

I wouldn’t have started watching without her; there’s no LiS without Dr. Smith, just like you need Will and the Robot.

“Pushing Buttons” thread:

She looks much more like Gwyneth Paltrow, or maybe Rebecca Ferguson. Maybe Emily Deschanel, were she blonde?

I think the show and the pacing have become even more about the visual design than last season, which can seem mannered and detached. But the emotions and character arcs are still there, just sort of being observed through a film of highly artificial visual flair.

I might have to go for Tammy and Jocelyn:
