Candace and Toni visiting the summer home in the season debut, and Candace’s instant personality reversion to country ways: “that’s just the deer on the roof again!”

Baskethead being Xorn, mustache Triplets = the Cuckoos?

Donna isn’t crying about James, she’s crying about Maddie. Same thing that unsettles Bobby, that has spooked the Log Lady, and that conjures the Giant for Coop. They all know, inexplicably, while it’s happening.

Someday she will figure out she’s actually best at (pretty kickass) comic relief. It’s how you started, honey.

Spounj?”

“Did you buy me a zuemz?”

I feel you. It can totally mean lack of guest stars, or claustrophobic mood.

Patsy always wants to be A-list.

And the point was scripted; she realized she didn’t love him, she wanted to BE him. Until at least she decided exciting hero was even more enticing a prospect than daring reporter.

It wasn’t about the fiction of mothers so much as the emotional need for that myth that be true. Jessica lost hers so young; Trish had such a venal stage mom; the reason they got close was to cope with those opposite traumas, and fight back.

In the comics Patsy pesters Beast (a scientist) to give her powers, and ultimately finds a super suit. I had no trouble understanding Trish’s desire to be super.

Trush wants to be super too! She can’t find that Hellcat costume fast enough!

Imagine invulnerable insides, but soft skin!

What I’m worried about with this season is that while the Purple Man arc was intense and definitive and metaphorical (and even prescient) on so many levels of our current moment, delving into a past of childhood abuse by evil scientists isn’t exactly the freshest angle in sci-fi. Fringe did it with its traumatized

All his great Titania stories .....

Especially if they keep winning the same ones. Now they put on a little show, just for the fans!

Candace’s country accent at the country house just cracked me up. Toni: Are you asking that to me?

Stamets is more than a vocal tone, and Mirror Stamets had a level of desperation that our Stamets lacks. Also he and Paul shared a very nice goodbye, I thought, with Paul actually helping save him from more exploitation and doom, by returning to their familiar patterns. They had chemistry.

It explains why he has been so fixated on Burnham, when not even she could understand the privileged position he was giving her in the crew. It all really adds up, and I considered it as soon as they ended up in that debris field.
