the trick is to damage the boss to a minimum health and kill yourself and the boss with a rocket to respawn at checkpoint. The boss still drops loot even though the mission didnt finish.
Everytime you go back to checkpoint (after you kill yourself and the boss) just pop another 3 of coins for an increased exotic drop…
