I’m allergic to onion. Veggie burgers have onion.

Yang does to you centrist populists what AOC does to republicans. Kinja probably has some underwear deals to replace all the pairs you’ve soiled, hombre.
No money is printed, so that kind of supply inflation will not occur. His VAT will theoretically increase prices by up to 10%; but when paired with UBI of $1000/mo, the increased purchasing power will outweigh the increased prices for the bottom 90% of consumers. In pre-VAT value, you would have to spend an annual…
I bought some from the grocery store so I can have the first cheeseburger since I went kosher.
He actually does. The UBI detracts from getting his other ideas out, I think. He was on Joe Rogan’s show recently and it’s a good place to start to dig into what his goals are and how he would implement them.
I really like Yang. He is an environmentalist, and understands that society needs to implement universal programs if it’s going to survive. He is the actual smart, successful businessman that Trump convinced his base that he was.
I need to hear that one of these pampered fuckers has dropped the whole payout of a major film on Warren or something before I’m going to get excited.
Trump is an excellent liar but a better..Spinmaster. He’s pushing the envelope seeing how far America will allow him to go with his race baiting. His dad was a notorius racist and he learned well from him. They got us Y’all. We had our Obama for 8 yrs. Now the Obama backlash has turned into a good fashioned Whitelash.…
It’s not just that, though. It’s also an incredibly cynical, Orwellian attempt to control public narratives, and convince people they’re not seeing what they’re seeing or hearing what they’re hearing. And they’re all doing it - the #WhiteHouseOccupant, Yertle McConnell (his varieties are extra special), Kevin…
THIS! He is obviously throwing up distractions. Even an idiot doesn’t keep throwing up statements like this over and over, keeping it going, unless he’s got a purpose. And it’s too far from the election for this to be just dogwhistling to his core supporters.
For as awful of a human being as he is, I have to admit that he’s really good at throwing up a distraction when he’s in trouble. Make no mistake: he is a full on racist piece of shit - but this is very clearly a distraction tactic between his unraveling Epstein connection and the upcoming Mueller testimony. He knows…
I always want people to give me a limit about what I should worry about. Everyone in this article is saying, “hey cheapo, if you can’t afford $2.50 you shouldn’t be going out.” OK, what about $5? What about $10. $20? Where’s the line for everyone else who wants to spend my money?
I assure you I know plenty of how business works and I also assure you that raising prices something in the range of $0.25/item would cause far less negative reaction than adding a flat line item charge to the bill. Somehow basically all other industries are able to pay their employees and their benefits yet you want…
How is that fraud? Fraud on the restaurants part adding a BS fee. It was an undisclosed fee. He tipped the server.
The real kicker here is that Minnesota is one of the few states where law dictates that tipped employees are paid the same minimum wage as untipped employees. So... should I still tip 20%?
I don’t know why you are reshaping my words in a negative light: I am pro-employee benefits but think they should be covered in the base price, not through surcharges. If a restaurant finds it necessary to raise the price of a burger by $2 to cover employee benefits, I will tip 20% on that new price. I’m not going to…
$2.50 is the portion you are being charged for ALL of the employees benefit. If you want to deduct your server’s portion from your tip, divide $2.50 by the number of employees participating in the benefits program and subtract that number from the tip.
I’m going to break down some of how you’re wrong. A notice somewhere semi-conspicious may make this policy “clearly marked”, but the expectation of average patrons is that I can point at the menu and you will bring me that thing and on the reciept will be the same amount as what I pointed at. No cherries on top.…
Tips used to be a thank you. Now it’s a “my employer is to cheap to pay me a living wage” compensation device.
I don’t care. This is not my problem. I understand that we live in a tipping culture and I believe I tip more generously than most. But it’s not my job to ensure every employee gets benefits, that’s the employer’s job. You make a gross profit selling goods and services at the listed price and out of the profit you…
