Remember the guy that rebuilt his old LandCruiser, to the ridiculous tune of some $160,000+? Don’t be that guy.

But that 650 hp 6.2, comes stock from GM in a car with 4 doors, and a warranty. Sure, that 3.5 V6 with 550hp is impressive, but my buddy had a VW bug that ran 8.60s@160, but would blow that right rear cylinder at nearly every race weekend he went to. Does that 550hp V6 have the ability to drive across the country…
I have to agree with ole ‘55 for the most part. I’ve done a few hot rods myself, fixed or worked on others projects, racebikes, race cars, etc., (I’m a machinist by trade and things with wheels that go fast is my hobby) in my estimation, for every engine swap/tuner car/hot rod/street rod/custom/rat rod, that is done…
What’s wrong with gassers from the 60s? Or fuel altereds?
Do they make camber adjustment plates for those (I used to make them for 510s)?
Looking at the 8 degrees of negative rear camber and the attendant <1000 mile tire life, I’d make the assumption that it would definitely need a looksee underneath to see if anything has been “stance-itized”, like with a cutting torch or something hack going on.
I’m beginning to become fairly anti-cop, due to 2 tickets in 2 months, totalling $1000, but here, these fucks did DO the street racing bullshit (it’s getting real bad here), and this poor dumbass loses his job trying to stop them. It wasn’t very good judgement, but blocking the HWY to race is pretty stupid too.
Have a good day, brother. It’s a beautiful day here in .CA. I’m working on some pretty bitchin’ parts for some radar application, they’re not quite kicking my ass (but close, they are way over toleranced), in 1.5 hours, I’m hopping on my KTM (YAY, new fork seals, no more oily front brakes), and I’mgoing to wheelie…
You made a comment about how fast you were, how fast your dad said you were, how fast your friends said you were, and how much talent you had, I made a comment about being on a race track (which, by not your commenting on, I’ll ASSUME is correct, you’ve never been in any kind of competition, on a racetrack. Karting…
I’d actually bet a double cheeseburger that an FD car would not run within the top 40 cars at a World Of Outlaws race. They would not even qualify.
My Toyota Camry had unintended acceleration. No, really, it did. I swear it did.
Or, he will kill you.
I see your point. But at the moment, there are a whole bunch of people, that are openly wanting/hoping/wishing for Musk to fail in a major way. Some people sniveled about working a lot of overtime in his plant, the headlines read, “Musk over works his employees to death....”, a battery catches fire in a couple cars,…
Uh,,,,,,,,no, drifting is nothing like Sprint Cars. A great majority of race car drivers think drifting is a joke. The emphasis of Sprint Cars is making it turn, and making it hook up, the sideways action of the Sprint Cars is purely a function of speed and momentum, slow it just enough to get it turned, then get a…
Can we assume you’ve never been on a track, not even Local Sportsman racing? And real karts, like 80 or 125 class, Superkarts? Animal class? Not to bag on you but, chances are, if you ever went out there, even street stock or one of the production classes, you’d probably get smoked. I know, I know, pops said you…
A little late to the party, but here it is..
I live in an HOA area. I am also on the HOA board. You see, I’m the guy with the loud street bike (KTM Supermoto), the loud dirt bike (Kawasaki KX250 2 stroke), the loud dogs (a very vocal German Shepherd, and a little alarm dog to set the big one off. I USED to have 2 loud German Shepherds, but time takes its…
I used to live with a couple strippers (roommates). I met a whole bunch more through them, and I’ve never met one that wouldn’t screw someone for a bit o’money. No even one.
“-You’re not going to buy one bike for hot weather and one for.....-”
Do you know why they (and I, sometimes) do that?Because they aren’t pussies. For most, it’s just what they do. Some people play video games. Some golf. Some touch themselves. Some go riding.
