Wasn't "you" less of a plural pronoun and more of a formal one? I know "ye" was often used as plural for "thou", but I didn't know "you" was.

Yeah, wishing harm on people is definitely the right response. Wishing people to change their mindsets or learn something or broaden their horizons is fine, but it's the wishing harm that really shows you care about people.
