That's where I first saw it too! Now I've listened to the cast album a lot of times. A lot of times.

Because of the intentional humor, the rebellion song reminded me more strongly of these lines from Pirates of Penzance:

They should show these Federalists what they're up against.

Well, Hayes was mostly a compromise to end Reconstruction, and Fillmore wasn't elected president. Otherwise you're right, we never would have allowed them a seat in the White House.

I think the musical sells shirts with that on them. I don't mean to say your joke wasn't good, but that you must share my proceeds.

Other than a passing mention of Sally Hemings, there's not much discussion of his fornication.

They remade it with the guy that plays Burr.

If voicing my support for Hamilton would make you less likely to listen to it, ignore the rest of this comment. You should totally listen to it. I'm not particularly into musical theatre and I've listened to it a bunch of times.

Forgiveness. Can you imagine?

But also, every American should be able to know whether someone was president or not, right? Not necessarily being able to name them all, but hear a name, and think, "yeah, he was the leader of our country for a while". That standard isn't too high, right? Right?

I've seen several episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, so I have seen her in one video, and Seinfeld was as uncomfortable as I.

Uh……….I liked it.

Well, this is a deal.

Just looking at this film as an example, in real life, Newton Knight was white and helped save some people, some of whom were not white. So regardless of how untrue the movie ends up being, that aspect wasn't the made-up part.

I understand the inherent potential problem with that narrative, but I have less of a problem with it when it's a true story, and I think most of the recent "white savior" movies are based on true stories. Feel free to disagree and think me stupid and/or racist.

Soon that attitude may be your doom.

You might want to spell check that African country.

The "Bronx Bombers" are a nickname for the Yankees, so at least you were thinking in the realm of sports.

He was not!

I'm going to assume you meant to respond to the original post. Otherwise, you called me a lot of mean names and I don't know why.
