Well, I think because he leads with the book. He doesn't start out telling us what he saw and what impression it made on him as a movie. It's the third paragraph in on that review, before he actually starts discussing the movie, so far as I can see.

Actually, I was kind of expecting to be disappointed : I enjoyed the first movie, but for me, the second did drag a little, and I was thinking the third might be worse, but in fact I was pleasantly surprised.

I LOVE Comic Book Guy. He cares about his enthusiasms, and he is unashamed by them. In fact he's made a living out of them! Go him! :-D

Did you see the movie, or did you read the review and form an opinion? It seems to me that there are a lot of people who know three things about The Hobbit:
1) it was written by the same author as Lord of the Rings
2) It is a much thinner book
3) three movies makes more money than one.

The shieldwall was created by dwarves, not elves!
