@caliaa: Me too.
I have used Synergy for years between Windows and Ubuntu systems and love it. It was difficult to configure in the early years but QuickSynergy for Linux works well.
I would love to be able to use Linux on my work machines. While I think Win 7 is cool. It does not have the power of the Linux shell. I end up having a session to a RHEL server open all the time.
Great post that I believe sums the problem up entirely.
@Scott Ingram: Thank you very much - what a fantastic site.
I tried to get my non computer literate friends to install HTTPS everywhere but to no avail. I just get looked at like I have two heads. It is the same for ad block and no script. It seems that only us geeks are concerned with our security online.

I go to air shows every summer and find that if I spend all the time taking photo's of a display I don't get any enjoyment out of it. I now take one or two shots of the display then sit back and actually enjoy the show. I can always find losts of shots of the display online a couple of days after the show.
I have always used Joe's Goals.
I deleted my Facebook account last Saturday. I feel much better for it.
@CatStampFever: I use CCleaner to delete these and other rubbish.
My local pub offers free Wi-Fi. It is very tempting to head home early from work and drop in for a pint while "working from home".
The gorilla in the card colour changing trick reminded me of the old Basketball trick. I suspect that is why it is there. I kept waiting for it to come out.
