@MACaroni: I heard you can get moths with the Microsoft clothes while the Apple ones are immune.

@macshome: It passed over Ireland one night last winter and we got to see it. It was quite visible and REALLY fast.

@BtEO: Thanks. I will test this out.

As I spend a lot of time at the command prompt I would love something similar to sudo for Windows 7. Having the ability to launch an application as admin without having to use the mouse would be so handy.

@Thunderbyte: Wow. I just watched a repeat of that episode yesterday.

I book time in my Calendar for both stuff that I need to do as well as my lunch time. I find that if I don't block lunch I will end up eating at my desk on a conference call.

I use the numeric keypad all the time and am very fast at it. It all comes from working in a toy shop in the days before bar codes. You would be surprised how quick you get during the Christmas rush.

@nunpa: I do not have it pinned to the start menu. It just sits under all programs.

This would have been very handy with XP but with the Windows 7 search programs box it makes it moot. I just dump all programs into a single Apps folder in my start menu and just start typing the name from the search box. Works so well that I struggle the odd time I use an XP system now.

Looks good. I have always used BCC in situations where I do not want a long mail thread to occur. This looks more elegant.

@Prairie Moon: I agree with the TP but not the monitor. I like having my start button in the middle, if you know what I mean.

@swc oxcart: I have to agree with JDownloader. I use the portable version on my USB key for my all my needs.

@Gigglebox: A good butler would always wear gloves.

VOTE: Remember the milk

@jerkmonkey: I think the Windows 7 Search Programs and Files does the same job as Launchy. I just hit the Windows key and then start typing the name of the program I want. What am I missing here?

I just bought a laptop stand in Ikea. It has a hard top and a bean bag underneath. It works on my lap on the couch and in the bed. It cost 12 euro.

I use Syncplicity for all my personal files but use both a 8GB thumb drive and 500GB USB HDD for applications, music etc.

I wish I could do some of these, however my wife already has a list of things for me to do :(

@High_Noonan: Yes, we use the same plugs as the UK.

+1 for jdownloader. I am using it at the moment.
