Good tips. I am more of a night owl then a morning person but I have found getting up and going swimming early is much better then doing it after work.
In the past I frequently got phone calls and requests to come over and fix problems. Now I just tell them to bring the computer over and bring a bottle of wine / dinner.
@maltesh: That brings back memories. It is surprising how similar the interface is back. Shows how they got it right the first time around.
@TehBeardMan: You hit the nail on the head there my friend.
Not bad. It is a pity it does not allow for customization. I use the personal world clock on www.timeanddate.com but it is not a pretty as every time zone.
I usually use Darik's Boot And Nuke. www.dban.org. It does a great job without any fiddling around with packages.
How did I miss that post! It has been up since 2008. Thanks for sharing.

I have been using the portable version of this app for about a year. I love it.
Great tip. I will certainly be implementing this.

I do like the way that Ubuntu allows me to customise the desktop to the way I like it. I know a lot of people like OSX and I have flirted with AWN and other docks in the past but I have always ended back with the standard GNOME panels.
@Toribor: I use RTM with Google Gears and it does work offline. I have never seen any of the other issues you have found.
