I loved that movie, but it is absolutely racist. I love it the way I love my racist grandma (RIP 1924-2009).
“She’s not stupid”
That bit had me dying. I couldn’t breath. LOL!

Came here just for that, not disappointed. Take your star :)
“No! We closed! No buffet here! We dry clean now!”
So, not sure if you are referencing this or not, but the Dead song “New Speedway Boogie” is about Altamont.
As if he needs an excuse.
Where’s my SCTV documentary, Marty? Marty!!
This time the Altamont fiasco can be his excuse to get at least one Stones song in there.
Seems to be the case for all of the major “anti-heroes.” Gandolfini, Cranston, Hamm, Chiklis.
Actors who play terrible people in things are usually some of the nicest people around. It’s usually what allows them to play such terrible, mean characters that we still find engaging to watch. See also the Always Sunny cast, particularly DeVito, or Odenkirk.
On the one hand, I certainly understand Kevin Smith’s hatred of Magnolia being so intense it makes it into his films. On the other hand, he’s Kevin Smith, and everything about him makes me wonder how he hasn't been set on fire yet.
J.K. Simmons as William Frawley is damn near perfect casting.
Hard Eight has my favorite quote of his whole oeuvre. “You know the first thing they should’ve taught you at hooker school? You get the money up front!”
I’ve got to say, the new Coke Zero formula tastes pretty damn good.
Frank would probably get all three vaccines. He doesn’t have time to sift through the duds.
The best Philip Baker Hall is Hard Eight Philip Baker Hall.
Phillip Baker Hall is one of those character actors who brings up the quality of every scene he’s in. Special shout out to his hilarious variation on angry police captain in the first Rush Hour.
