From what I have read, Corden was way, way down the list of CBS's choices to replace Craig Ferguson. The top 3 were Joel McHale, Amy Schumer, and Daniel Tosh. All three passed, as they can do better elsewhere than hosting a show that CBS seems to forget once they get a host that works.

Daniel Tosh got off a great snarky line when Colbert got the Letterman gig. "CBS's idea of edgy is to hire the 50 year old host of Comedy Central's 3rd rated live show."

"I liked Friends, but I liked it better when it was called Seinfeld." David Spade.

From what I understand, his children by his first marriage don't much care for Sharon and keep their distance from Osbourne family 2.

The second season of "L.A. Dragnet" blew. When I watch "Dragnet", I want to see Joe Friday, dammit! Not a bunch of other detectives running around.

I guess she found Anthony Jeselnik offensive.

One of the best "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee" was the one in which David Letterman and Jerry Seinfeld discussed the Tonight Show, and Jerry recalled his first appearance on the show, and remembered everything about it. Years earlier, he discussed when he and Garry Shandling had dinner with Johnny after they had

The best part about the Clooney/Russell dust up on "Three Kings" was that Russell demanded that Clooney be fired immediately. The on set producer told Russell, that "I'll make the call to the front office, but I assure you that someone will be fired from this film at the end of the call, and it won't be George

Woody Allen said it best about Johnny Carson. "He was smart enough to help you score(with a joke) and was good enough to score himself." And like his idol Jack Benny, Carson's timing was impeccable.

A show I really miss is VH1's "Four On The Floor" which was 4 rock critics going at each other about music, from new albums, to the business of music, and everything in between.

A lot of people will be exiting Comedy Central in the next couple of years, including the audience. Amy Schumer just received a Peabody Award for "Inside Amy Schumer", and there is huge buzz for her upcoming Judd Apatow film, "Trainwreck" which she wrote and stars in. Daniel Tosh is rumored to be up for a late night

After reading how James Garner was screwed out of his share of royalties of the Rockford Files, if I were famous I would take a shotgun to every financial meeting that I went to.

Gad is the weak link in this show. A more combative comedian is needed to go up against Crystal's character nose to nose, about "knowing what's funny."

It was nice to see Judy Gold in a show that's not on TruTv called, "World's Blankiest Blanks."

Where in the hell is the John Scurti drama about a gourmet chef who solves mysteries? I'm waiting…

If you get a chance, read about Schiffer's working the JFK assassination as a print reporter in Dallas. He had more than a few interesting tales about that weekend, including his chauffeuring Lee Harvey Oswald's mother into the office to tell her "side of Lee", as she called the newspaper when Oswald's name was made

Hey, I missed it by a vowel. :-) I remember where Pierce Brosnan had managed to get Quentin Tarantino interested in directing what would have become "Casino Royale." and EON hemmed and hawed. IIRC that's when Brosnan figured he was on his way out as Bond.

They've also avoided using "major" directors in the Bond films, as Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarantino have shown interest in directing a Bond film. From what I've read, ION doesn't want to shell out big money for a hire like that, and also likes directors it can control.

Fun with trivia. Stan went to ask Jack Webb for permission to use the "Dragnet" theme in his recording of "St. George & The Dragonet". Not only did Webb give permission, but he lent Stan the orchestra he used on "Dragnet" to make the recording, as he was a big Freberg fan.

Rockpile is glaringly absent from this list. Due to contractual obligations, the band was unable to put out a "band" album until 1980, as it was the backing band to releases from Dave Edmunds, Nick Lowe, and Carlene Carter between 1977-80. By the time they were able to release "Seconds Of Pleasure." the band
