Corgis Rule Canada

I know some that have the entire extended fucking family became involved as part of the open adoption - and no one realizing this until after. That’s a hard nope for me. And since that’s the only kind of adoption allowed here I live, adoption is 100% off the table - unless it’s someone I already know/related to.

Hillary is also Canada, judging by my Twitter feed...

Whereas, I’ve refused to ever adopt because of open adoptions. And I was adopted and had a semi-open adoption (I knew one of my birth parents because I was adopted within my maternal mother’s family). It was fucking shit and I’d never put myself or my family through that.

I have the dream meet-your-adoptive-dad story. The crazy “everything is perfect” story is mine. And ya know what? I still don’t think it’s all that’s it’s cracked up to be by these shows. There’s so much expectation on the labels. What do you call that other person? How do your adoptive parents feel? What if they have

A lot of the replies to you seem to neglect the impact of religious belief in regards to forgiveness. Those who truly believe they have to forgive as Christians, do so. It is a struggle that they work out with their ministers and God, but they do it for *themselves* and *their* relationship with God. It has dick shit

We call it the Emergency Corgi Alert system.

We had one corgi that never barked unless you said, “GET THE KITTY.” Then she barked like a madwoman. Our old sausage barks in his fucking sleep. The cardigan princess barks at her own shadow, and it’s a high pitched bark. She likes to sit on the sofa’s back, look out the front window, and bark whenever someone comes

I live on a cul de sac’s end and my backyard butts up against another cul de sac. In that mess of yards, there are 12 dogs total. I have 2 corgis. The barking...oh dear god the barking...

It’s really pretty there! Source: I’ve been there several times.

That looks awesome for so many reasons.

Awesome interview!

I was about to say the same thing. I was raise very poor and everyone talked about money all the time.

I write books for a living (no “day” job). Sometimes, you just hit a wall. It isn’t writer’s block. It’s “I’m so fucking exhausted and drained, fuck this shit, I’m going to get a retail job and sell shoes.” I hit a wall like that last year where I played Mass Effect for over a month straight and did nothing else.

I get a lot of SCA folks at my talks. They are always really nice and cool. Sometimes, we argue about minutia, but it’s always fun and friendly. And never dudebroy. (And like we’re arguing which modern beer could be used in X recipe sorta thing LOL).

Ah, yes. The food book is quite popular. LARPers and the like really like it. :)

Sure, though can you dismiss the comment once you see it?

Just the book and stuff like that. There is this one paper, I wish I could remember the name of, that’s basically along the lines of “Sexual Comments in Austen’s books” or something like that. It does a rather hilarious take on the discussion between Darcy and Caroline regarding Darcy always taking care of his quill

I lived in a town where some of the librarians wouldn’t let you read, pick up, or check out certain things because they knew they’d get in trouble with your parents.

True story: When I wrote my book about the Regency to mid-Victorian London, I had to cut out a lot of Austen’s sex jokes because I knew people would just send me letters to argue.

So Canadians...which part would Bernie Sanders belong to up here? Is he socialist enough to be a Dipper, or is he squarely still with the Liberals? I’m thinking Clinton could be a Red Tory.
