I don’t find it body-shaming or offensive as some other posters. I simply find it tacky and ugly.

I would have given him someone to “train”from the FBI or some other agency or police force elsewhere that he’d have no way of knowing them. That way, he’d be babysat (since the “trainee” would pull the plug on all of it if he actually tried to hurt anyone else) and they could still all continue the investigation.

It’s not too bad becoming a permanent resident, but it can be tough being a citizen (for Americans).

Whereas, I think being poor made me unable to handle my finances because I didn’t know what it was like to have money. Even now, there are things I simply don’t understand or consider because they weren’t a part of my life growing up at all.

I had nothing as a kid. My parents went hungry to help pay my rent for my first few months of university because my student loans weren’t enough and I was trying to find a job. I left university with crippling student debt that plagued me.

Yeah, I mean killing my friend and throwing her into the water to have pieces of her washed up on shore, I mean, yeah, that’s not atrocious enough for me.

My family friend was murdered almost 20 years ago. I remain firmly against the death penalty and believe it is never justified. I don’t have rose-tinted glasses. I simply accept that, even in the face of the anguish upon us, it is an unacceptable course of action.

I love this movie. I also had my car stolen and used in a joy ride that injured a car of seniors out on their Christmas holiday enjoyment. I also love this movie. I also always think about that poor car and those poor people (who weren’t badly injured, but still).

These were washed out after every use. You’d soak them for half an hour and then attach them on your penis with a silk ribbon.

Yup. A lot of “healthy cooking” assumes a significant amount of knowledge that is not “common sense.”

Also the literacy and math skills to follow a cookbook and instructions on the back of packages. I worked with homeless, and at-risk housed individuals; literacy and math was a huge barrier to healthy eating. They couldn’t do the fractions in their head. They only have a 1 cup scoop and a 1/4 cup scoop (for example).…

Fruit is super expensive where I live. $2 for an avocado. $1.50 per apple. $1.50 for a pear.

This is one of the reasons I like Alberta’s midwife program. They are nurses who specialized. They are governed by strict rules. There are no independents. There are no exceptions. So you can have your home birth, but you have a qualified nurse with you at all times who is experienced enough to know when to call 911…

I don’t loan. I give. If I can afford to hand it over, I don’t need it and I won’t miss it. If I need that money back, I can’t afford to hand it over.
