Funny that both of these brands are always showing up in google ads, under those ‘This hoodie is so popular there’s a 6 month wait list’ Either those ads work, or their interns were busy ‘voting’, or the third option this whole “favorite” thing is just ‘sponsored content’.

Just brainstorming... if installing a motion detector, can you install a small webcam as well, perhaps from an old cellphone?

If you turn ON the home/away assist, AND allow Nest to access your phone’s location information (same for your spouse, kids, etc.) then your Nest will not initiate auto-away as long as your phone is at home (i.e. within the geofence). More info can be found here: https://nest.com/support/articl…
