I feel like early on they weren't planning on White Josh to be a fully developed character, and so he was just designed to be another "bro" for Josh. Didn't even think about indies, don't usually care for them myself (I prefer large stories and experiences over short and concise), but yeah. The Vita has lots to offer so long as you don't expect large AAA titles or first party titles (and even then there are some surprisingly strong titles related to those too).

The Vita is something to buy if you really enjoy more Japanese style games. JRPGs and visual novels are the primary experience you'll find on it.

For me, the appeal is in how *absurd* everyone is, and in the gameplay. All of the characters (aside from the hero of each game) are archetypes blown up to the nth degree and pitted against one another. Because you have so many of these characters, most people will find at least a few they want to rally around and see
