If they can make a business case for this please for the love of God make one for the GR Yaris. I can’t stand to see all the positive reviews coming in for that forbidden fruit.

LinkedIn credentials check out.

Aside from COTA and yearly Radwood events at Driveway, I’m finding it extremely difficult to find all-inclusive meet ups in Austin, Texas. I’ve heard of model-specific meet ups for vintage/supercars, but nothing even close to Katie’s Cars & Coffee from my old stomping grounds :(

Wow. This makes me feel even worse that my insurance barely budged from pre-quarantine commute to 5 miles per week. This safety tech isn’t helping my parked car...

A used black Veloster N went for $19,000 with only 9,500 miles on Doug’s Cars & Bids site just over a week ago. It was an absolute steal of a deal.

If these supposed stop gap vehicles can perform the work at a traditional MSRP (minus fleet purchasing incentives), then why are companies battling it out for niche mail carrying vehicles? I can’t imagine a government-specific vehicle being less expensive than the cargo van alternatives...

Audi is REALLY good at making you feel like you should have waited for the mid cycle refresh. They know how to evolve their designs ever so slightly. A secret German automotive equation has probably been devised for such incremental, yet infuriating tweaks.

Part of me is actually wondering if I’d rather be seen in a Civic Type R (in black to hide the fake grills, of course)

Could be that they saved the money for chassis work, while keeping the design budget low. Keeping my hopes up for this one. Disappointing about the motor also being a hand-me-down so it has to be incredible to drive or else it’s a miss.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if Honda came out with a super vanilla design for the next generation (i.e. EM/EK series) then I would totally be interested. Modern safety and power underneath clean sheet metal. Add in the Honda E style wood trim interior as a retro throwback and I might not be able to resist.

I’m just now realizing the Bronco (at least the light blue 4 door) is equipped with a set of Fifteen52 bead lock wheels. Anyone know the story on this? I know Ken Block has/had his partnership with them so I assume it’s an extension of that happy partnership.

In love with every aspect of this project ...except the tiny logo design detail that shouts Bed Bath & Beyond. Once you see it, it cannot be unseen!

100% agree!

This bugs me way more than it has any right to, but the grill was taken right off the new Explorer.

I’m fully on board with this, but how many Fit owners are this clued into their car? I’d wager that most non-ethusiast car owners don’t do much beyond oil changes and brake jobs over their ownership. Hell, everyone I know who drives automatics doesn’t even know you have fluid to change in the transmission.

Why does only one room have working A/C?

I can only imagine the feeling of driving around a nearly 200,000 mile car in traffic, with no factory temperature gauge, and overheating the thing within week one of ownership. At least it tells you what your moment-to-moment MPG is.

Ford has a histroy of muddying up the original purity of their designs. I noticed it first on the 2015 Focus refresh where the tail lights looked more aged and no longer flowed with the gas cap, then the explorer lost it’s Range Roverness in favor of sloppy eyebrows, and now the F-150 headlights just being brutally

All reports hint at this being a ~$35,000 Corolla so I hope you’re ready to ignore the badge for the sake of fun!

What is design when it no longer takes into account the obvious variables. In this case, acting as if front plates do not exist. I can only hope that those who choose to run without a front plate will have an unobstructed grill design underneath and not some slab of flat plastic where a plate should go.
