I can live with the louvered lights, but I cannot come to peace with a giant black plastic slab on a MY14 sports car.
Time to reassess that relationship....
I'm getting tired of MINI news and the lies they continually tell us to keep us interested in the brand. First the bloated model lines, then they tell us they're going to cut back to a simpler product portfolio.
The new MINI was supposed to be smaller and lighter or at least match the R56's dimensions but it grew yet…
Blame pedestrian regulations and side impact protection for a lot of it. Unless you have minimal design constraints in terms of passenger room and materials (ex: exotics or luxury marks) most sedans will blend together nowadays. That and the fact that they need mass market appeal to survive now so they aren't taking…
You clever bastard. Comparing MINI's smallest first generation car to their largest newest generation model
The most Japanese looking car to come out of Japan since the Evo IX. LOVELY.
It's not an terrible update, but it's more of a tailored evolution of the 2013 WRX. The interior sees bigger changes with the obvious improvement of a 6 speed and that fantastic looking steering wheel.
Last I heard they were going for more of a BRZ-like handling balance with this new rendition so that could take back…
I'm not seeing how this is any better than the Tribeca refresh...
This thing is completely slab-sided where as the Tribeca had some curves and pleasant rear fender flaring. Oh, and don't even get me started on that hideous C & D pillar window upsweep that has no flow to it whatsoever.
The sound worth $100K. I'm not kidding; it's worth the price for that symphony alone
Cayenne's little brother looks much sharper and well thought out in the interior and exterior. It's going to be quite the sleeper too with those power plants.
THEY LISTENED.
If they make it with a manual option it will become their new go-to hot rod model with that turbo motor. The ultimate comeback if they play it right. Better looking than the Impreza sedan by a long shot.
An exhaust tip for every cylinder!
The interview Jalopnik did with ICON's owner Jonathan Ward explained why they can't build this and it had something to do with packaging, center of gravity, and probably some demand issues as well :(
Assuming the person shopping for a $200K GT-R is cross shopping with a $900K Porsche 918 is no different than saying someone who is looking at a WRX should probably cross shop it with a base GT-R. Yes, even millionaires have structure to their income and expenses.
Am I missing something or is the S engine a carryover with a fresh tune?
Subaru has conservative 0-60 times. IIRC the 09' WRX was low 5 or sub 4 seconds to 60 with hard journalist launches. It's all about how you want to treat it hence why 0-60 times are dumb for real world comparisons.
Why would someone spend almost a quarter million dollars for a piece of graffiti-altered artwork from Banksy when they could have donated it to charity? People are just interesting creatures.
Right? Subaru has their concept car game on lock! The family resemblance in the rooflines, front ends, and tail lights all look superb but they lose all of it come production time. I wish they were more like BMW where their concept is basically the production ready car.
