In this instance, Gale wasn't 'strictly crapping' on TWD. He/she effectively and snarkily skewered the rehashed plot formula that comprised this past week's installment, and then followed up with a pessimistic prediction for the future based on the producers not wanting to deviate from the formula that brings them

I think a lot of tv watchers won't like 'the wire.' It's simultaneously the greatest show ever made but also completely dissimilar to everything else in television. What's the latin phrase? Sui generis?

Personally, I find it depressing that people avoid opinions that run counter to their beliefs. I find a well-reasoned argument that refutes my own to be way more interesting than a self-congratulatory circle jerk of agreement. Speaking of which, I think that was IGN's original name.

I picture overly-defensive fans of a given tv show/film happily hopping around IGN, like the rabbits in the farm in 'of mice and men.' I can practically hear/read them abruptly spouting things like 'the Avengers is the greatest film ever made, here's my top 400 reasons why.'

I just realized that the most important event of the last 3 seasons was TWD losing Hyundai as a sponsor. The 2013 Hyundai Tuscon would solve multiple problems simultaneously.

Yeah, triple speed watching is not for everyone. But with closed captioning on, I can get basic plot information without having to sit through overwrought, halting line-delivery. It makes me appreciate how much of this show is just dramatic dialogue pauses.

Technically, they're wherever location fees are cheapest and tax credits highest. Which translates to the same stretch of rural Georgia for the last 4 years.

The producers chose the 'path of least location fees.' So I hope you like deserted, wooded roads punctuated by infrequent abandoned buildings in forest clearings.

I enjoyed his/her post. If you don't want to see criticism, get thee to IGN where credulous fanboys mill around unburdened by meanies.

In a sane world you would be correct that crummy quality eventually affects ratings, but TWD proves that we all live in bizzaro land. For example, the budget was basically halved between season 1 and 2, and the quality of the writing tanked, yet ratings actually increased from 5.2 to 6.9 million average viewers. I

I think the producers of TWD do not care at all about consistency. They just go wherever the child-like wonder of their writers take them (especially if it's a rural Georgain forest or two-lane country road).

At least the creators are diligent about recycling- i think it's the 20th time they've reused the 'i'm depressed' / 'we need to survive and live on' dialogue. I half expected zombie Lori to pop out and to ask someone to find Korl.

A zombie apocalypse is no excuse for not pressing and starching uniforms.

To me, this episode had two obvious goals: 1. conserve comic book plot by ensuring nothing important occurs, and 2, to be super cheap to film. Hello, rural two-lane Georgia road and deciduous forest populated by less than a dozen zombie extras, it seems like I saw you just yesterday. And there's your old pal, a single

You missed the part where Michonne said the zombie Washington Wizards were hosting the zombie Atlanta Hawks in DC. The game will supposedly have a 'playoff atmosphere.' Andrew Lincoln was excited by the prospect of watching a high goal-scoring match and acceded to Michone's travel plans.

This. Is. Zombie. Sparta.

Hey, why would Noah know a basic medical procedure? it's not like he he worked in a hospital for an extensive period of… oh.

Or Korl finds a new hat, resulting in a dejected old hat, who leaves to find a new owner. After many mishaps and the death of 7 more actors from 'the wire,' Korl and old-hat are tearfully reunited. Old-hat promises never to wander from Korl's greay pate again.

'XX' obviously indicates shoe gazey hipster zombies ahead. Prepare to have your emotions gently strummed.

On the upside, Morgan has been singing the proclaimers 'I'm gonna be (500 miles)' while tracking Rick.
