having a well-compensated partner who lost a job, making it less attractive to stick around for the money

Pardon my California vehicle law ignorance, but would the back registration have to be paid and the car be emissions tested if the car were to simply be taken to another state? Can CA hold title transfer hostage if it were, oh, say, going to north east Ohio, where this car is emissions-exempt and they will reissue a

Or, you know, fight OFF seasonal depression. But you be you. You can fight it of if you like.

Yeah, Right? ND, Woohoo, Yeah. No. Damned. Dice.. I want this thing so much. Imma even gonna make money on this... Easy ND!

By now, there are probably more Jalopnik holy grails than there are real ones”

That’s awful too.

My Mom had a gas version, which also sucked. Pretty sure it was an ‘81. I bent the frame in ‘84 or so sliding into a curb on some good old Wisconsin road ice. I did her a favor.

Inside looks fantastic. But I simply can’t drive a high vehicle. Hope they come out with a sedan- or wagon-like equivalent.

I did do it in my mind. But I’m pretty lazy.

Just look at that. Also, can confirm Volvo seats are the best seats. I was looking for a Volvo comment before making it myself. I was going to post the S60, but just look at that 90. They are so beautiful. I wish I had 2 stars to give.

Two driver’s seats and the glove box is being held in place by cable ties. Go parts availability may be somewhat reasonable, but these interior things, and thus likely others that are not immediately obvious in a seller-provided CL add are so hard to deal with.

Look, I love my manual and will always have one. I understand the Z4 M is popular with many. I had some great drives in it. I just didn’t like this actual car very much. Dad sure loved the piss out of it and I don’t judge that. He loved HIS car and I preferred another. For me, I was shifting into 2nd barely getting

for 2 people to go to the grocery store”

Very subjective. I just prefer the overall driving experience in the 944. I realize these are from different eras and of totally different technology. But that is what my comparison was. Also, I am not out there squeezing every last HP out of the Z4M, drag racing or drifitng etc.

Nah. My Dad had one of these, same year etc., in red. Seats were hard, not enough storage to for 2 people to go to the grocery store and I was always shifting. The gears felt too close together. I did enjoy driving it through Yellowstone with the top down, but in general I would prefer to drive my old 944 10 out of 10

Huh, so today I learned that “Special Edition Package” = “Hurricane Specials” + $2k for a rebranding surcharge”.... Thanks, internet.

My Matrix was an ‘04. That hatch was HUNGRY. I remember buying a 24" 2-stage snow thrower, unboxing it in the Lowe’s parking lot and shoving it right in the back of that Martix. And, on top of the flat, hard plastic surface, it had tie-downs built in!!!!!

Anytime there is a writeup for a hatch, I need to know if the seats lay flat. My old Toyota Matrix had that feature and it was truly fantastic. Hatch, fold down all seats, including front passenger, and they made a flat, hard plastic surface. So much more than just a hatch. You could shove a dead horse in that thing..

OK, very well staged. Got to hand it to that dealer.
