Good lord, is that a nice looking car.

What the actual hell is he complaining about? If someone is willing to pay, it is worth that price. What a tool.

Test driver is perfect Corvette test driver 8^|

I love this headline. This is the new name. This is now the BMW Supra.

Hell yes.

Self-reply after day of consideration: Fuck it. BUY IT! It’s awesome and needs to be loved and driven - have the snot driven out of it. I’m headed out to take my said-944 for a drive in honor.

Damn you and your proper heights. I am #14 and my GF is #5. I’m gonna miss the hell out of her.

Ughhhh. I have been wrestling with a 944/2 for the last 7 years (that great 2.5 L NA 4 is my avatar). I love my car and will likely keep it forever. It is an amazing weekend driver. But MAN, the crap that I deal with on a continual basis. I have Pelican Parts, DC Auto and Larts Parts on speed dial.

Real brakes, up-graded suspension, up-graded Corvair engine? $8K is a little higher than I would be super comfortable with. But for someone with a little more wiggle-room, this is a really nifty little ride. I don’t know how to even really evaluate this price, but I’ll go NP anyway.

PS. That is how you stage a car for sale. Look at that engine bay. Sparkling. Clean carpets too. Trunk is beautiful. Well done, seller. Makes me think you took care of this car.

I don’t know why I always loved these things. Really too bad about that scoop, but I would buy it anyway. Worst case is a hood respray. Otherwise, this tickles a lot of nostalgia.

Well done. Very well done.

Peter, I feel all of your pain. My money pit-obsession is a 1986 944. Those 990 hours are probably similar to what I have put in (mine are spread out over 7 years). In the end, you saved one. And that is half the satisfaction (the other half being that downshift into a corner).

Not a problem.

Not always. Shell does it as you describe. Another chain in my area, a decent place, makes you come back in to get a refund for the difference. Guess how often I go there.

Norway went with “lopende seng” which means “Galloping bed”.

Booo. You should be ashamed. (Take your star).

8^)

In the same vein as calling the BMW Z3 Coupe the “Clownshoe” I will call this thing and it’s lookalike 4-door squatty CUV brethren from BMW et al. the “Workboot”. It is lumpy and thick.
