This car got an overhaul. I did everything except the front of engine, rear of engine, top of engine, fuel lines/system, brakes and brake lines, steering, suspension and A/C. Oh, yeah, and rust abatement and exhaust. I did all the body, interior, the lights, cooling system, electronics, gauges, sunroof electronics,

I hear ya man. I bought a ‘86 944 7 years ago, for $2,500. It ran, and the body was in good shape. But nothing else worked. Speedo didn’t work, odo was long gone, all the usual 944 stuffs. All fluids leaked, electronics were in terrible shape, shifter was so loose that I couldn’t find 1st. But I loved it and > $12,000

As muttons properly put it, “Fuck yessss”.

*snicker

Counterpoint: No. I don’t understand drifting. Now get off my lawn.

The Wallflowers: One headlight

So much YES! I lusted after these when they were new. My favorite color was maroon, until NOW.

Owned the RX-7 and now own a 944. 944 is superior both in looks (both are great, prefer the 944. dem hips). Both are great and have aged very well. But build quality and details on the 944 are superior.

In honor, I took my ‘86 944 for a spirited jaunt this AM. Very rewarding thing to do every now and then to remind you why you are here on earth.

Mack’s Volvo S60 is the best answer. I got a CPO 2015.5 and have been amazingly impressed with this vehicle. Best seats in the industry, the T5 (inline 5, 2.5 Turbo) has plenty of punch and a huge range and the overall sophistication is phenomenal.

Came here to see Isuzu Amigo, leaving disappointed.

I love the last bit, where he is revving, but none of the f’ing gauges work - at all.....

You know, that list seems pretty innocent to me. $2K to get it right seems like a deal. If you don’t expect $2-5K in repairs to get it right and can’t except that as simply to cost of driving a Porsche, you shouldn’t buy that used car. When buying a used car, you have to assume the previous owner didn’t fix everything

That shot of that car gave me tingly feelings in 1984 and it gives me tingly feelings today.

Damn it. Take your star. It’s yours.

Some part of the tanker was undoubtedly under-inflated by 0.5 psi.

We had the same rig for my Dad’s BMW 320i and VW Scirocco. We used to haul a Bluehole Canoe around, or a deer or two. Good times in my life.

Dammit, take your star.....

Retraction: Total optical illusion on my phone. When I watched it first it looked like they were depressing the clutch, then releasing before shifting. On laptop, all is well in world.. Sorry.

What is going on? Why hasn’t anybody scolded that video. To me that looks like a great way to trash the transmission. Whoever approved that thing must have stock in the OEM clutch supplier.
