After having trying over 100 different external hard drives over the past 10 years, I have to agree with everything above. Pegasus also makes an awesome drive. Lacie 2big is pretty sweet as well (12TB), but noisy. So far Western Digital has been the most reliable. Stay away from Seagate!!
