Sean O'Neal would've been on the front lines with Tipper Gore.

what, in the butt

They wrote that Sam Jackson was "forced" to give them the award, as if it was an act of racial violence.

It used to be that Film Twitter was only unbearably toxic on award nights but now it lasts all goddamn awards season. And this year I am putting this at the feet of Moonlight fans, whose hatred of La La Land and really anything else that threatened a win, grew and grew to the point where they resembled less

It's fine, it's just not the Dirty Projectors I like anymore. Predict like the last Animal Collective album will be forgotten in a few months.

Moonlight is white Twitter liberal. It's a pretty mediocre film best watched through woke shaped glasses.

opinion:

Maher's Playboy interview, is… interesting:

I grew up watching PI and kept up more or less out of habit - it's something to pop on Saturday morning while I do dishes. I've been at peace with Bill's more asshat attributes for some time. Whether or not he's particularly relevant is unimportant to me - the Sunday morning talk shows aren't necessarily that

what's the backup plan for when nothing becomes of this

Hey, who wants a banana?

the Crash comparison is inapt, but the Wong Kar-Wai one kind of is… and is probably why I didn't like it. Well, I was with it for 2 acts, but the 3rd one undid any affection I had for it.

Good to see that now that Trump won the election we're back to fighting epically unimportant battles we can win instead of him?

I have a podcast about soundtracks and the Spawn soundtrack was one of our better episodes. Check us out at: http://www.rowthree.com/201… while we talk about it as it plays underneath with our commentary and stories about the late 90s

It's not saying much but its Aubrey Plaza's best film role, playing to all her strengths. Kendrick's character is supposed to be dumber than she is capable of playing. Devin is like a Vince Vaughan/Jack Black hybrid and its still a bit awkward but he's reliable. It's Efron who really phoned it in.

It seems remarkably easy for any metal band to maintain a long career. Holy shit I just checked and they've been around for 20 years. But naw, "Spit" was certainly full on nu metal. The production, the semi-rapping on some tracks, etc.

Wes Borland's Bigdumbface project is still an odd piece of work that while often unlistenable in its Ween/Primus hybrid is another showcase of some real guitar talent. https://www.youtube.com/wat…

There's enough good Kittie songs to have a self curated "best of", though I do think they have an actual best of compilation out there. Oracle was solid but suffered in the press for the nu-metal origins on Spit, which by that point had already aged poorly.

if i were to vote on one for my least favorite though, it would be Crazy Town.
