What a cynical way to look at things, lol. It didn’t feel like an ad, and I think they enhanced the moment from the game by doing it this way. Plus, whether intentional or not, it’s fun to watch characters play a video game within a video game adaptation. Obviously it’s different, but in a way, it reminded me of when

Yeah, they confirmed on the podcast that while they left it intentionally vague, it was supposed to be ALS or something similar.

Per your first stray observation: The showrunners have already said they did away with airborne spores for the show and replaced them with tendrils instead.

It’s like you tried to fit as many bad takes as you could into one review.

I loved every minute of this episode, which is how I knew the AV Club would hate it.

I just finished and personally, I think this has been the best season by quite a wide margin. The writing has never been better.

Yeah, I saw it in theaters three times when it came out and it was worth it every single time. It’s funny because I think both it and Oblivion are highly underrated. Something about Kosinski’s style just gels with me, I guess.

This is the smoothest brain take of all time.

Maybe it’s just because I’m still bitter over the horrendous movie and have low expectations, but I’m glad this show exists. It’s not a perfect adaptation but I’m never angry that I watched it when an episode finishes. To see some of my favorite moments from the books in live action form excites me enough that I can

Nah, Scream 2 was the best one.

Man, I really liked the Benioff and Weiss cameo as well as the Jurassic Park reference. Got a good laugh out of me.

I just watched this and... it’s quite obvious that a lot of the comments here are made by people who did not. While it does poke fun at liberals, it pokes just as much fun (if not more) at conservatives and really hammers down on the self-fulfilling prophecy faux-victimhood that a lot of conservatives engage in. I’m

Well... that’s the show of the year for me. What a beautiful ending and, after the brilliance of The Leftovers, I truly can’t wait to see what Lindelof does next. Say what you want about Lost, but he has been knocking it out of the park with his HBO shows.

Critics do not objectively review films and they never have.

I know they’ve been building it, but the way Dany’s “madness” came about just didn’t quite work for me. Still, so many epic moments and the spectacle was insane. I loved it, but I can see why some fans will not. I think this will end up being one of the most divisive episodes of the whole series.

Well... that would certainly be unexpected. I’d hate it, but it would be surprising at least.

I’ve said it twice and I’m saying it again: Review. This. Show. Regularly. Next. Year.

I’m not a stand-up comic but I enjoyed it too. Had a very eerie feel to the whole thing that carried it through its more dull moments. It was a solid B-/B for me.

As soon as I saw the name Darren Franich attached to that review, I exited right off of it. I’m not going to say he’s a terrible writer (though I do think he is) but just that mine and his tastes never seem to line up.

To answer my own question: It does include it! It’s the last two episodes of season 4.
