I think this is a very cool car personally. The C30 is more refined and elegant than the GTI or mini, and it is uncommon enough to be unique and it stands out more than the other two. I love these cars, if i was to buy a small 2 door hatch it would be a T5 C30 with the manual trans for sure.

I don't see why the Volvo engineer wasted his time and possibly his career over someone taking spy shots of a camo'd car. I think the V40 and XC40 have been on sale in Europe for at least a model year to boot.

That's a properly good looking little car! Much cleaner and more modern than the Type I beetle, and certainly a bit nicer to live with as well. It really does echo a 911 in many ways in the side profile. I rather like it, and I'd much rather have it over ze beetle.

Indeed. They do get quite obnoxious after a while. I suggest a turf war between "Bros" and "Hipsters" because i just think that would be fantastically entertaining. Make the prize something both treasure, like a 30 of PBR.

Cabs are wonderful things. Pricey, but they're efficient and they are always super handy when you have had a few too many at the pub. Drinking and driving is always a terrible idea!
