I agree, that bothered me too. The show is all about the idyllic quality of small town life — to have thirty-odd people just die or disappear or whatever isn’t going to just be glossed over in a small town like that. They just hand-waved it away. But that’s the kind of thing a town like that would never get over.

I think of the Holloway family, Heather, Tom and Janet. Completely wiped out, but I gotta feel sad that Billy is dead?

Now playing

But seriously, if you’re supporting Biden with all the other options, just come out and say you support Biden and leave Trump out of it. He’s not running against Trump, he’s running against Harris (if you like blacks behind bars) Gillibrand (if you like BDS being treated more harshly than white nationalist gun nuts),

So many people died because of Jon’s selfish refusal to do incest. I will never make that mistake.

The circular nature of humanity's cruelty towards itself is an existential evil.

Wow. I get that there have been hints and allusions to Dany going off the deep end, but that whole sequence of her burning the whole place down was jarring.

Great article.

Sir, this is the women's restroom.

I almost fundamentally disagree with how they chose to end the character arcs for the original 6 sans Hawkeye. It really, really bothers me, in addition to the rules of time travel they decided to follow.

Ah, thank you! It’s all I’ve ever sought. I wake up every morning praying that I have enough internet points to get through my day. Nothing I write here is anything that I believe in, it’s just a desperate attempt to get the validation and love of strangers for a fleeting moment on the internet.

Yeah maybe it’s a bad idea to spend 18 months calling a large segment of voters naive idiot bros because their economic policies fall to the left of Margaret Thatcher.

why are you like this?

Did Splinter post anything at any point praising Pelosi’s Totally Epic Clapback?

Who couldn’t see her ascent into Wednesday memehood as a way for her to flex her momentum back into the typical banal neoliberal bullshit she’s known for. The problem is that most people rest their laurels on leaders during viral moments that are apart from their individual policies, just like with John McCain.

Splinter (to the degree it can be considered a monoculture at all) can praise praiseworthy actions from a person, and decry that same person when they fail to meet a standard, without being inconsistent.

“The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?”

I am skipping. I had severe nightmares last night, and can’t take this anymore. Good luck.

Yeah, I don’t get that theory that seems to be all the rage in VB circles at the moment - I don’t get how calling Dean Rusty somehow proves that Rusty is a clone, as opposed to, you know, proving Dean’s a clone of Rusty.

True, but it was the frivolous Universe Today. I miss my Wall Street Shadow.

Heh. Interesting interpretation. Of course, once Garibaldi goes in the back and spikes his coffee, the waiter is all, "Oh, you want the special coffee." It's like the waiter runs the local Anti-AA chapter.
