Yes, I knew the review was going to be negative based off my own high level of enjoyment.

Feels like we're being set up for an episode revolving around his drinking and phoning-it-in this season.

Because they fix whatever problem sent them back at any given point, the other iterations of scott and reggie never have cause to jump back and it makes sense for all of them to be there watching the show concurrently.

I think the podcast succeeds because you get a sense of the joy and spontaneity the players feel while subverting comedic tropes and expectations. The skits on the T.V. show seem like they're a blast to write and pitch, but sometimes fall flat in execution.
