I think you're confused here. Drive Club isn't a racing simulation, nor was it ever marketed as such. It's a racing game which incorporates arcade elements. Catering to the particular desires of racing simulation fans was never the aim for Drive Club.

Realism seems an unfair criteria to judge Driveclub on when the games you're comparing it to strive for it, whereas Driveclub has arcade-style elements. Driveclub is more Project Gotham than Gran Turismo.

I'd like to see this too. Driveclub had one of the rockiest starts in video game history but it's coming into line with what it was originally intended to be now and, to be entirely honest, it's excellent. I haven't enjoyed a driving game this much since Ridge Racer 2.
