I’ve no idea what you’re talking about lol. I’m so behind in Hamilton production, I started reading the next book after Judas Unchained whatsitscalled, but got put off by the fact that even though it’s set WAY later in time, human civilization in his universe has still not moved away from its late-stage capitalism/neo-

That’s when the show really first hooked me. I mean, the pilot is still the best Trek pilot hands down, but Duet actually brings a few tears to my eyes during several moments.

The must-watch list is more than half the show. I think that’s the sign of a good show.

Duet (Episode 19)—The past of the Cardassian Occupation comes back to haunt Kira when a Cardassian claiming to be a horrifying war criminal arrives on DS9. A rare sample in this first season of the gutwrenching highs DS9 has to offer.

When I was in high school and college, whenever I made a big conceptual breakthrough (usually while trying to finish a term paper at 3 AM), I’d mutter, “Of course... of course! A child could do it! A child could do it!”

I would highly recommend A Taste Of Armageddon be added to this list. One of my favorite episodes, despite the overly stupid ambassador.

My personal favorite TOS episode is The Doomsday Machine.

totally agree. I read that and was shocked that was her final episode...didn’t she lose a kid to the initial outbreak, but now she voluntarily leaves her perfectly healthy kids? Ya gotta be fucking kidding me?

No, Lydia told her, didn’t you read the review?

Judith is how old? Because if she’s still like 9 to 13 then it’s even poorer writing to have Michonne be convinced by a kid in an oversized cowboy hat.

So her brother died when she was little and both her adopted parents abandoned her.

That was just... Weird.

Screw the haters above me. Your post-show recap is the one reason I still visit AVClub

Soylent Green’s The Walking Dead Stray Observations: Social Distancing Edtition:

I feel very lucky to get to edit these stories. There are not many audiences that have an appetite for the more niche stuff, but Gizmodo readers consistently show up for them. Yay

Said it before, but I’ll say it again: I appreciate your “hard science” coverage on this website. Really enjoying hearing/learning about things in fields that I am ignorant of.

The four episodes that encompass “The Battle of New Caprica” is perhaps my favorite mini arc of TV of all time, ending my favorite major arc, starting when the Pegasus shows up. This is all contained within my favorite TV series of all time and I’m a gigantic Star Trek nerd.

BSG: “All hands, rig for turbulence.”
