Sad but true dat.

There’s a big difference between South Korea and Ukraine ... the former can hold it’s own against North Korea, the latter never could stop Russia.

You must.

They have Civil Defense drills almost every month. Not sure all is calm.

Beats me ... at least you get returns on online searches.

Lol ... don’t take my word for it. When I was in the service my wife (American) would chat would all the cute wives of my buddies (mostly German). They loved GIs mostly because they were a lot more fun than the boring German guys they went to school and work with.

That’s because all the local guys are tired of the studly American GIs fucking their girlfriends and marrying the hottest chicks in town. That or they’re ex-Stasi and still hold a grudge.

Yep ... like the scene in “Back to School” with Rodney Dangerfield.

Except there is no stability. If there was there would be no DMZ or the need for our bases over there.

If Russia could step up they would have ... look at Syria, in the old days they would have invaded.

Better to start trying and learning than doing nothing ... growth thinking always beats fixed thinking.

What stability, true stability means nobody fucks with you.

My point ... we don’t need the troops to be stationed there ... just a way to move them quickly where needed and with equipment pre-positioned strategically.

Exactly - and you can move them around.

Ha, proud veteran and independent voter sir. The system is broken, and has been for years. Somebody has to grab a pair (balls or tits, doesn’t matter) and start fixing it.

We should start that, I’m not talking isolation but a more rational approach.

Pre-positioning equipment makes sense, but boots on the ground need to be carefully considered.

We have been there since 1953 (that’s 64 years and counting) after fighting a bloody war. Honor the sacrifices made by solving the damn problem and moving on to challenges more worthy and with a better return on investment.

The absurd budget deficit says otherwise ... that’s a lot of money on a worthless stalemate.

Nope ... let’s spend that money on our crumbling infrastructure, a strong yet cost-efficient military deterrent, healthcare, education, the cure for cancer, a colony on Mars ... there’s tons of better shit we could get if we re-prioritized.
