Being in Canada most things are the same, just a few little things are different (and there are somethings in Canada that I miss when I’m back in the US). I’m sure its very different in countries with very, very different food culture than the US.

I’ve been able to find Chedder Bunnies at the health food store for half a fortune (so they are a special times treat) but I have yet to find Pirate Booty (or an acceptable substitute) here in Ontario. I’ve gone nearly 5 years without Pirate Booty, and decent tacos, and I’m starting to get a little bit antsy.
Now this is what Kickstarter was meant to fund ...
I had to comment before finishing, but I have eaten Potato Lakes before, and they were pancakes (made with the normal Aunt Jemima batter) with shredded potatoes mixed in. My university dining hall served some super weird stuff, and had terrible spelling.
I renewed mine from Canada, and I got it incredibly fast as well. I was astounded how easy and quick it was to renew. I had to do my Canadian and American ones at the same time which cost a bundle, but doing the American one was so much easier than the Canadian one, and so much cheaper too!
Tom’s reactions were one of the best things about that show. Really everything about Tom was the best, and in honor of Pony, Donna’s Cousin, Donna and Tom, it might be a “treat yo’ self” kind of afternoon!
I spent my summer working as a Camp Director and I listened to TSwift (and mostly 1989) at least a half a billion times, and while I do enjoy the Swizzle, Ryan Adams is like the perfect antidote/balm for the adnasuem playings of Bad Blood and Shake it Off, from this summer.
Thanks, I will go see if I can snag myself a copy.
I was going to ask this, I loved the doc and finally have some time to invest in a good non-fiction deep read and was considering Going Clear. So a worthwhile read?
I feel the same when I when I hear about minor celebrities getting married “North of Toronto”, which is code for Muskoka (where I lived for 3 years). I always judge the resorts they choose to get married at, because they are always so basic and pedestrian. That or the really nice ones are better at keeping things…
This song is 99% back because of Parks & Rec, right, right ... Oh Lil’ Sebastien, you are my pony.
OKCupid once tried to match me with my sister abusive ex-boyfriend. It was a very surreal and upsetting experience.
I'm a camp director and I listened to 1989 so many times this summer, that this is like a balm to my soul.
I’m referring to Burke O’Brien, he was killed in 2003 in NYC. At the time his roommate was suspected, but was released and no one has ever been arrested in the case. It was even picked up by the NYT at the time.
My mom is from Kapuskasing, so yes, I would agree with the statement that nobody cares about the north.
In Ontario there is no legal maternity leave, there is Pregnancy Leave which a person who has given birth is entitled to, (3 months) and then an additional 9 months of parental leave that can be taken by either one of the two parents of the child. The cool thing is, that if you adopt a child you are entitled to the…
I think the girls were having a “girls night” or they were painting them during free time and the boys asked if they would do theirs as well, and the girls obliged. Currently one of my male staff has one hand of painted nails, including a flower on one of his fingers painted by the female staff.
No kidding! It’s my first summer doing the job and so I wasn’t sure how parents would react, but really, whats the big deal.
I;m a camp director, currently more of my male campers than female campers have painted fingernails. One of the camp highlights for the boys is that they are allowed to paint their nails. None of the parents have made any comments about it, which is awesome.
