Seeing the video I will agree the kid was incredibly stupid in his actions, but I also believe that Tony made a conscious decision to drive past Ward fast and close, with the sole intention of escalating the confrontation between the two. Because of their combined actions, Ward has likely lost his life.

From a legal

Nope. I don't think Smoke gets off that easy. It's pretty clear from that video that he intentionally took a line close to where Ward was and intentionally carried more speed past Ward and his car than he should have. He did both of those things to either scare Ward or piss Ward off. So he went out of his way to

*disgusting - damn piss poor spelling and crappy auto correct.

"I'm guessing it was an oval with banks in the turns, so as he tried to spray the dirt, the car could have slid downwards and moved to the rear wheel to where Ward was."

If anyone would know that it would be Tony.

Agreed. These same people would be jumping up and down, spilling their Budweiser cheering if it was Tony out on the track shaking his fist at someone who had bumped him.

No need, there is already plenty of stereotypical NASCAR trash lining up to smoke Smoke's pole, claiming that Ward should have known better than to walk onto a live track or how biased all the reports are by not pointing out that Ward was "sprinting" towards Stewart's car.

Well one thing that is definitely for sure... some of the tweets and comments on other sites are fucking discussing. People already Stephen A. Smithing.

I'd like a one-way first class ticket to Hell, please.

Now son, what did I tell you about hugs... remember, in our house we fist bump... we don't hug.

Next up, recalling recalls:

You may have recently received a notice concerning a potential issue with the trunk courtesy light on your 2014 Malibu. A more thorough investigation into the cause of this issue has shown that your 2014 Malibu is NOT susceptible to this problem. We apologize for any undue concern or

No "Shit'll buff out." comments?

Jalopnik has completely lost its way.

We want the black boxes to provide additional confirmation of exactly what altitude the plane was at in the moments before it was struck. There's going to be hell to pay no matter what altitude the plane was at but if it was above the 32k' no-flyish zone hell is going to add gratuity to the bill.

It's an Airbus... they all do that.

Partly it is a safety concern. For a while F1 teams were trying to build wing elements so they would flex at high speed. There were a number of rather spectacular front wing failures and associated crashes. Granted the Toyota system is different as it lets the whole wing rotate... but it should be obvious that the

on a related note.... best band name ever? "Fat Jesus and the Hoverounds"... I came up with that a while back. Feel free to use it.

Sad news. For those worried that he might get a reduced sentence because he's wealthy - A) he was driving a Toyota... thus he probably wasn't "kill two innocent people and get away with it wealthy"

B) If this guy had "buy your way into country club prison" money, he wouldn't be looking down a double barrel of capital

This is Ground Control to Mr. Whiskers
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose flea collars you wear
Now it's time to kill the peasants if you dare

Thanks. Now I can't get "Rocket Cat" out of my head.

Ah yes, they needed to "test" a missile system they've been retiring for years. Just like they needed to "protect" ethnic Russians in Crimea. FFS, why doesn't he just walk out on stage, shout "I'm taking Crimea... BITCHES", drop the mic and give us all the double bird?

Never driven Road Atlanta but been there several times. The elevation changes are mind boggling. It's difficult to turn 12 justice in a photograph, but here is a shot of the entrance to 12. Take a look at the wall of pavement in front of the Viper. THAT PAVEMENT IS STILL GOING DOWN HILL!!!
