While Birdman's cinematography is indeed stunning and deserved the Oscar, the film is just too masturbative.
Say what you will about the writing and cast of TD's second season, but its cinematography was outstanding. Seriously, very few shows manage to have such a complex and superb atmosphere.
Shieeeeet. I thought they were announcing Gaspar Noé's latest film coming to Netflix. Too bad though I like Judd Apatow.
I started watching Netflix's Making a Murderer and it's pretty great, though so infuriating it's getting hard to watch. Had to quit it for a while. Will definetly come back in a few days to watch it all.
Grade: A-
That episode from Six Feet Under is among my all time favorite of every show I've seen. It's hard to watch. However, if I can be perfectly honest, I'd still chose the episode that follows Nate's death. His funeral was so intense and beautiful in so many ways it's hard to put it into words.
I started binge watching The Wire and loving it so far. Everyone tells me it's one of the best despite the slow pacing, however, I was surprised by how time flies when I'm watching it.
I wish I had seen Ray Donovan on the list. Screw that weak and dull first season that the show had. Offhand, I can't think of any show that has improved this much from one season to another. Sure, there are still some issues here and there with the dialogue and some characters' development (mostly with women), not to…
I've been doing a personal hunt over old (can we call these shows old yet?) and classic TV shows from late 90s to 00's. So far, I have watched Freaks and Geeks, The Sopranos and Six Feet Under. All of them pretty fantastic if you ask me.
I personally am so happy to see Brazilian filmmakers getting recognition. Who knows, maybe in a few years we, brazillians, will appreciate them too.
Will do. I've read about it already and it sounds interesting.
Hello Ladies was so good…
I need to see more of Regina King. I had only seen her on Shameless before The Leftovers.
Jill is the kind of character that I need to see more of. She related to almost all characters. Laurie, Kevin, Nora, Tom, her boyfriend, and has an interesting - and yet underused personality. I just hope she plays a bigger part next year.
I've read an interview with Damon and he stated that he isn't planning on putting Mary to sleep again. Hopefully he won't change his mind.
What a damn near perfect season that was. Just let me say that I loved every single aspect of this season, particularly the idea of each episode focusing on one group of characters. It almost worked 100%, if it weren't for fantastic characters like Laurie being left out of the story. I just missed her so fcking much.
I too watched The Wonder Years for the first time in 2015! Honestly speaking, I loved it. Despite not being from the 60's (more like… say… late 90's) I totally sympathized with the characters and their situations, it's interesting as the show always focused on simple little things that 99,9% of the shows don't care to…
I honestly loved this episode. The reveal at the end shocked me and left my jaw dropped, it's funny as we'd been flirting with the idea that the disappearance of Evie and her friends is fake for the last 8 episodes, but none of us could have guessed it had to do with Meg and the Guilty Remnants. Sure, they hadn't…
I just hate Tom Hooper's movies.
In theory, it sounds great, but the execution to me seemed too goofy. I'll see more of it though, but so far Kilgrave has been a weak link to me.
